Whole-genome sequencing of Histophilus somni strains isolated in Russia.

The study identified the AAC-6-Ia + APH-2'' gene encoding a bifunctional aminoglycoside modification enzyme in H. somni strain 551-VIEV, which conferred resistance to multiple aminoglycosides. Additionally, the Ser83Ile substitution in the gyrA gene was found in strains 532-VIEV and 551-VIEV, leading to fluoroquinolone resistance.
