beta-lactamase
Overview
Genetic characterization of third- or fourth-generation cephalosporin-resistant avian pathogenic Escherichia coli isolated from broilers.
The study identified various beta-lactamase genes, including bla CTX-M-15, bla TEM-1, bla CTX-M-1, bla CTX-M-14, bla SHV-12, bla CTX-M-27, bla OXA-1, bla TEM-135, and bla CMY-2, in third- or fourth-generation cephalosporin-resistant avian pathogenic E. coli isolates from Korean broiler operations.
High prevalence and emerging cephalosporin resistance of penicillinase-producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Meizhou, China (2022-2024).
The study identified bla TEM−1 and bla TEM−135 as the main beta-lactamase genes in penicillinase-producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae (PPNG) isolates in Meizhou, China. bla TEM−135 was associated with reduced susceptibility to cephalosporins.
