Characterization of Multidrug Resistant Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase-Producing Escherichia coli among Uropathogens of Pediatrics in North of Iran.
The study identified TEM, SHV, CTX, and VEB beta-lactamase genes as the primary drivers of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase production in E. coli isolates from pediatric patients in northern Iran, with TEM being the most prevalent.
