lysyl-diacylglycerol synthase
Overview
The MprF homolog LysX synthesizes lysyl-diacylglycerol contributing to antibiotic resistance and virulence.
LysX from Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis and mycobacterial species synthesizes lysyl-diacylglycerol (Lys-DAG), which contributes to resistance against cationic antimicrobial peptides and aminoglycosides. LysX also plays a role in virulence in a Galleria mellonella infection model.
