proteasome accessory factor C
Overview
Proteasome Accessory Factor C (pafC) Is a novel gene Involved in Mycobacterium Intrinsic Resistance to broad-spectrum antibiotics--Fluoroquinolones.
The study identifies pafC as a novel intrinsic resistance gene in Mycobacterium that contributes to resistance against fluoroquinolones. Deletion of pafC leads to increased sensitivity to fluoroquinolones, and complementation restores the resistant phenotype.
