The study identified several Candida drug-resistance proteins, including heat shock proteins HSP70 and HSP90, multidrug resistance transporters CDR1P, CDR2P, and CDR4P, NADPH dehydrogenase oxidoreductase EBP1, pH-responsive protein PHR2, and ergosterol biosynthesis proteins ERG11P, ERG9P, ERG1P, ERG6P, and ERG3P, which contribute to azole resistance in HIV-infected patients.
