A SAM-dependent methyltransferase cotranscribed with arsenate reductase alters resistance to peptidyl transferase center-binding antibiotics in Azospirillum brasilense Sp7.
The study identified that the PrmB-type methyltransferase in Azospirillum brasilense is involved in conferring resistance to tiamulin and clindamycin, while causing sensitivity to chloramphenicol.
