ABC transporter
Overview
Genome-encoded ABCF factors implicated in intrinsic antibiotic resistance in Gram-positive bacteria: VmlR2, Ard1 and CplR.
The study identifies and characterizes three genome-encoded ABCF factors, CplR, VmlR2, and Ard1, which confer intrinsic antibiotic resistance in Gram-positive bacteria. CplR provides resistance to pleuromutilin, lincosamide, and streptogramin A antibiotics, VmlR2 confers resistance to nucleoside and PLS A antibiotics, and Ard1 provides self-resistance to nucleoside antibiotics.
